The aim of this project is to develop the basics for the usage of Maya Hieroglyphs on computers. There is quite a lot of stuff to do: Developing encodings for Unicode, fonts and input methods.

Fontaine is a new font analysis program. The program produces reports that document font features and Unicode coverage. Report output is available in various human readable TEXT, XML, and JSON formats.

Istok is a new sans serif typeface. At present it has the four fonts with support for Latin and Cyrillic. The font includes oldstyle figure variants and small capitals (Regular only). Most glyphs are manually instructed using xgridfit, but other ones are autoinstructed in fontforge. Truetype instructions are specifically intended for rendering on LCD displays.

a monospaced font covering Inscriptional Pahlavi and Inscriptional Parthian (Please note that Windows 7 does not (yet?) support the two main Unicode ranges represented in this font. However, Windows XP and Windows Vista work as expected.)
