This project provides full repertoire Arabic fonts. Freely available, designed for professional typesetting and compatible with many typesetting platforms like TeX-based systems, OpenType and AAT.

In 1996 Microsoft started a font project named Core fonts for the Web. It was a freeware font project including fonts Andale Mono, Arial, Arial Black, Comic Sans MS, Courier New, Georgia, Impact, Times New Roman, Trebuchet MS, Verdana and Webdings.

The aim of this project is to develop the basics for the usage of Maya Hieroglyphs on computers. There is quite a lot of stuff to do: Developing encodings for Unicode, fonts and input methods.

Khottabun (โคตรบูรณ์) project attempts to develop fonts for Lao/Esaan scripts, including Lao/Esaan Tham and Thai Noi (Lao Buhan).

A font family especially for medieval scholars, but containing an extensive enough selection of Unicode characters to be widely useful.

Istok is a new sans serif typeface. At present it has the four fonts with support for Latin and Cyrillic. The font includes oldstyle figure variants and small capitals (Regular only). Most glyphs are manually instructed using xgridfit, but other ones are autoinstructed in fontforge. Truetype instructions are specifically intended for rendering on LCD displays.
