Replacer es una utilidad para reemplazar texto en ficheros, útil cuando hay que aplicar dicha función a un conjunto de ficheros. Permitiendo el uso de expresiones regulares, hace posibe cualquier operación masiva sobre las líneas de los mismos. Sustituir una cadena de caracteres por otra en un directorio de ficheros voluminosos de manera genérica, es la tarea más fácil que se puede realizar con Replacer. Puede localizar fechas ([\\d]+/[\\d]+/[\\d]+), direcciones web (http://(www\\.)?[a-zA-Z0-9]+\\.[a-zA-Z]+ ), atributos (title=\".*\", value=\".*\"), internacionalizar una aplicación etc. La complejidad de la operación dependerá de los criterios introducidos, de esta manera las posibilidades no tienen límites. La aplicación soporta la mayoría de las codificaciones.
